Humpbacks can grow to over 50 feet (15.2 meters) long and weigh up to a staggering 40 tons (40.000 kilos). They often travel together in pods and have a unique feeding technique called 'bubble-netting', where they work together to trap their prey in a circle of bubbles. These gentle giants are filter feeders, feeding on the smallest krill and fish which helps marine ecosystems while also preserving the delicate balance of our planet.
They are nature's gift to the sea and the more we learn about these incredible creatures, the better equipped we are to protect and conserve them for future generations.
